Norwich Castle

On top of a hill, right near Castle Quarters is Norwich Castle. Norwich Castle was built by the Normans in the late 11th century, following the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. It was the third Norman castle to be built in England after Colchester and The Tower of London.

Over the centuries, Norwich Castle has served various functions, including as a prison, a royal residence, and a museum. Today, it houses the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, showcasing a diverse range of exhibits covering art, archaeology, and history.  This is a great day out for anyone interested in art, history or architecture.
