Norwich Theatre Royal

Built in 1758, the Norwich Theatre Royal has a rich history of arts and culture.  The theatre has been rebuilt three times, the most recent time after a fire burnt the theatre to rubble around 1934.

Today, the theatre hosts around 400 shows a year, and with a capacity of one thousand and three hundred, it attracts many to Norwich every year. Norwich Theatre Royal is one of three Norwich Theatre venues within the city- the others are Norwich Theatre Playhouse and Norwich Theatre Stage Two.
